You assume that being harder makes it less susceptible to friction but that opposite of what I've always believed. Being harder can make it slightly larger and increase friction as well as actually bringing the glands/nerves closer to the surface, increasing sensitivity.
Alas, many psych meds have the nerve dampening effect that helps with psych issues but hinders sexual issues. It's a balancing act. What meds are you taking?
