H has been working with at-risk teens for years, helping them form music groups in every different genre. He teaches guitar, drums and piano, lets them use the recording studio to promote them, helps them market, copyright original material, etc. The only requirement is the kids have to serve 4 hours a month in the homeless shelter, be supportive to one another and remain drug/alcohol free. It's really built up, and the kids play on town greens and at festivals. This past December 9 kids were granted free scholarships to music schools around the country. One even got into Julliard. It's a good thing he does, and it's about time that he was recognized for it. Of course, he hates the attention.
