Hello...I have this situation; I'm unsure of whether or not I have a "real" eating disorder, and if I do, if it's severe enough for me to actually ask for help. Back at the end of July 2012, after my friend said, "If you eat, you lose the starvation contest", and I ate about 200-600 calories a day and exercised for 2-4. But then two months later, I started binge-eating for a week, then exercising/fasting it off, and the next week I'd eat 0-100 calories. Then I'd binge-eat again, and then eat 0-100 calories again, so basically, one week I was gaining and then the next I was losing it all. In three weeks (at the beginning) I lost weight and later on, it took about a month for me to gain even more back. I don't know if this is a "real" eating disorder, as it's only been roughly 8-9 months, and I do eat sometimes (the starve/binge thing), and if it is (thinking it would be EDNOS) I don't think it'd be good enough for me to ask for help...I don't know if people would believe me or not. Please advice?
