Does your county use air raid sirens when there's a tornado warning or watch? I used to live in Cincinnati, and they used the old air raid sirens. Whenever I heard them, my hair stood on end and I wanted to run and I felt so scared. I wasn't scared about the thought of a tornado in the area. I knew how to stay safe. It was simply the sound of the siren. I never got used to it and wouldn't calm down until the siren shut off. The thought of a tornado in the area is bad enough, but if you have to listen to the gosh-awful air raid siren, too...
