I had a nephew with bipolar (I'll call him "J"), who passed away about six years ago. He really was a great guy and a lot of people loved him--but he did struggle.
He died towards the end of his senior year. I had another nephew ("D") who went to high school with him, and he was also a senior--and he has severe depression and I think he may have been sexually abused. Well, "D" never fit in very well, but he and "J" were very close--and J went out of his way to make D's life as good as possible. When J died, it was hard on all of us, but really on D (and of course J's parents).
Sorry I got off into a tangent there; its just that the anniversary of J's death just came around again recently.
