Hello pacots, I believe that I, too, have tried every available antidepressant. Most of them seem to have no effect or the effect wore off after a few years. I really don't like the side effects of what I am taking: I sweat all the time and I have insomnia with my current med so I have to take a sleeping pill with it. I have tried, with psychiatrist and counselor cooperation, going off all my meds but with disastrous results that I care not to repeat. I know all too well that while I loathe the side effects, I am still better off on my meds. Even though I am somewhat better off on my current antidepressant, I am still not close to being an independent, "functional" person.

Have you tried, with psychiatrist prescribing of course, combining medications to help with your depression? I have read that some people will respond better to multiple prescriptions rather than just a single one. I don't know what the combination would be, but a psychiatrist should be willing to have you try something like that.
