When I first started out in the psychiatry biz (har har) I was diagnosed with the following:

-panic disorder/agoraphobia
-borderline
-OCD
-depressive disorder
-dissociative disorder
-eating disorder

I think that's it...
Anyways, We worked with that diagnosis for a couple of years. I went about getting help for as much of that stuff as I could. Then last month my new psychiatrist said she was scrapping all of that stuff and changing my diagnosis to PTSD and eating disorder.
It freaked me out but I don't regret anything. I got treatment for my symptoms, which is still useful to me no matter what my diagnosis is. I wouldn't worry so much about titles and words as about experience. If you need/want help with things, that is the important thing, as well as having medical professionals who can give or help you get that help and having a solid support system in place.
