I really like that. I think I would get along well with your brother. It doesn't work for everyone but humor in dark situations can really help deal with the stress for the patient as well as for the people around them.

Let your brother know we wish him the best of luck for his surgery. Have him ask the doctor if he will be able to play the violin after surgery. Best wishes for your family too.
