My therapy definately needed a therapist special_k, LOL. Needed both of us whereas self-help I can do with myself in ways like you mention.
I think mindfulness, meditation, prayer, whatever can be very much self-help, like journaling (that's mostly what I do). I've done some mindfulness, tried meditation. Do you know David Reynold's books?
