My p-doc friend does not recommend using alcohol in combination with benzos and for this reason tries to not prescribe benzos unless it is a last resort measure, but people are different, the reactions are different, the doctors have different opinions, etc., so I just wanted to remind you to EAT if you drink. Eating a complete meal slows down the absorption of alcohol by the body three-fold - definitely this is the safer route if you choose to have your beer. Another safety measure is to drink a full glass of a non-alcoholic beverage per each serving of alcohol.
