There is no easy answer.

You have to force yourself to focus on more important things like work. Once that is complete, you can reward yourself with 'Hawaii five 0'. Perhaps, you can take breaks, focus on your interest for a set time and then return to work, but you must be strict about it.

Another thing you can try is thinking about all the negative consequences that may occur if you neglect your responsibilities. I have used this approach and it has worked well. For example, getting good grades is an effective motivator for me to focus on my studies, rather than my obsessive interests. An F on my university transcript isn't very appealing so I will do just about anything to prevent that from happening.
