I don't know about betrayal; your supervisors should get an explanation from their boss as to why things are changing in the business that relates to their jurisdiction but your night supervisor certainly was unprofessional about it and I would go to his boss and complain about what he did/said! I wouldn't have laughed it off, I would have said something like, "Yes, but my mental health problems don't get in my way enough to stop me from suing you for harrassment/creating a hostile work environment and unprofessional behavior!"
