I'm sorry you lost your hearing. That's such a huge adjustment. I'm hard of hearing myself and have been all my life. I don't know if you wear hearing aids, but rest assured that people really do not notice them. I wore hot pink aids with my hair in a ponytail for years, and people often didn't notice the aids. Really!

I know it's really anxiety-provoking to not be able to hear and understand people. That's why I really hate telephones. I never know if I'm going to be able to understand the person on the other end of the line.
