On zyprexa I was only taking 7mg but was unmotivated and I was afraid of increasing it due to weight gain (in two years I've gained and lost and gained again forty pounds). I am taking the geodon because it does not cause weight gain. I've also noticed I am more motivated than I was before, but also very emotional. I am not sure if I should aim for the month and a half it takes to really kick in or if I should go back to the zyprexa, I am not liking the side effects I'm having but wondering if it will go away once it really kicks in and we find the right dose.
I've never taken either of those meds, but wanted to suggest that maybe you're still withdrawing from the zyprexa? It may be a question of time and riding it out (as you suggest) -but I guess the question becomes weighing the consequences of waiting it out vs will it be worth it and in the end will you feel better. Always a tough question to answer. It sounds like you have very good reasons not to go back to the zyprexa, though. Maybe riding it out and seeing what happens will be the best option?

I know well the rollercoaster of meds. I feel for you and wish you the best of luck!
Thanks for this!
