Woundedhearts - I also have restless leg syndrome really bad along with insomnia. Just 10 days ago my P-Doc upped me to 2 mgs. a day - with .5 in AM, and 1 1/2 mgs at bedtime to try and help with the sleep issue. BAD MOVE !!!! I was aggitated, in a foul mood, didnt sleep any better at all, and after 5 days, I went back to the 1 1/2 mgs a day I have been taking for over 16 1/2 years. No more aggitation, foul mood, but of course still not sleeping and my legs jump all over the bed :-( I am having a sleep study in November (had one 5 years ago - and all stages of my sleep then were normal). Depending on how long you have been on the 3 mgs.......taper slowly back to whatever you were on, and I hope it starts working for your anxiety again .....it did for me ! Since I only took the increased amount for 5 days, I just cut the extra 1/2 mg. and have done fine. Good luck !
