There is a firefox message board support site. They said the problem was that my profile had the directory on my desktop but it shouldn't have been and thus I needed to create a new profile.

Anyway upside is that I no longer have firefox putting crap on my desktop. Also... My computer seems to be moving a little more swiftly than it used to...

Downside is that I managed to delete everything off my desktop except for:

My Computer
I Tunes (Thank God!)
Kodak EasyShare
QuickTime Player (What is that for anyways?)
D-Link AirPlus Utility (Apparantly chat will be blocked by firewall because they care about people clogging wireless not the non-wireless access)
Adobe Reader
VLC Media Player
Firefox
Trash.

Minimilist Desktop. Goodo.

Lucky I have backups of my work at work or I'd be trying to do a system restore about now.

Sheesh.

(To be fair I decided all by myself that it would be a good idea to delete the old profile because I am contientious about my computer being clogged up with useless crap... The message board peoples were terrific. Someone posted that I should be careful not to... But too late oops)
