I think so. I read somewhere that one of the reasons why lack of sleep can lead into a manic episode is, because of the lack of sleep, adrenaline kicks in to keep us going, and that's (at least in part) what causes the problem. So I think that could apply at least potentially to anything that gets our adrenaline going, though maybe more over a period of time (clubbing regularly, that sort of thing).
