Yes, my T tells me that I need to be more assertive all the time. It's something I am working on. I'm just not sure it would go well. He's a pretty "agressive" man, reminds me of my father. If I was assertive...he might be agressive (verbally, not physcially) back and then I would fly off the handle bars and become aggressive too. It would not be pretty. Either that, or I would break into tears and sob uncontrolably.
Yes, I'm sure my T would have a lot to say about this. Maybe I should email her before she goes out of town again, since it's a while until my next session due to her being out of town and me not being able to go into work late during exam week. Maybe she can give me ideas on how to be assertive and not be agressive if I am met with agression.
