I agree with Bipolar Nurse, don't quit without consulting at least the advice nurse and explain that you are in transition of new pdocs. I've had zyprexa withdrawal in addition to a med my body didn't agree with (geodon) and it felt horrible. Besides, it's not like you're going to gain 20 pounds by the time you see your new pdoc.

Also, it depends on what your dosage is. My zyprexa dose was only 7.5 mg and I was only gaining weight because I only exercised once a week and ate whatever I wanted. It also could have nothing to do with the zyprexa. Lithium is known for weight gain as well as birth control. So it could be another med causing weight gain. I tried geodon to nix weight gain and it gave me horrible side effects in addition to the pdoc telling me it isn't the zyprexa causing weight gain, it was me not exercising or eating healthy.
