I don't think they're anti-religious or anti-spiritual. Most pdocs don't discuss these things unless a patient brings it up, because people don't like doctors to assume they're of a certain religion (or religious at all) when they're not. A lot of people think if you're not talking about religion, you're anti-religion, when in fact it's showing respect to all, instead of just some.
