Honestly, I can't really tell you, not knowing you and your situation. I am only one person. I've had only one doctor diagnose me with both bpd and bipolar 2. I've read that since mental illnesses can be subjective, every doctor may have a different opinion on your diagnosis.

From what I've read, bipolar 2 is the less severe form of bipolar 1 and it is characterized by depression and hypomania (not mania). There are a lot of overlaps between the two (bpd & bipolar 2).

Honestly, I don't think so. Just take your meds, see a therapist, practice positive coping skills daily and you should be fine
