I took it for a few months a couple of years ago but don't remember how it worked for me then as that time is all foggy. I tried it again recently and only made it a week before the side effects bugged me so much I quit and swore off all meds. I'm considering Lamictal, but still going without meds for now.
The thing I liked about Topamax was that it helped keep me from getting too wired. I didn't like the brain fog, daytime sleepiness, and the really odd perception of time that I got from it (sometimes 5 minutes would seem like an hour, sometimes an hour would seem like 5 minutes - in a really bizarre way, not a lost track of time way). I hear lots of people really dig the weight loss part, too. I was worried about it, but didn't take it long enough to see if it was an issue for me.
