That is SO true, Mandy! I first saw that quote when I was in my early 30s when I had just come out of a very controlling marriage. It hit me like a velvet hammer!

Ever since then, that's how I've viewed my relationships. Later in life, I decided that the only thing I want from any relationship is what was given freely... NOTHING forced or it's not sincere... ya know? The same way with me and what I give to a relationship. Accept what I have to give and don't try to squeeze anymore out of me because that won't be sincere, either. Which brings me to yet another "free" saying...

"The best things in life are FREE!"
