I have been on a few meds in my life for depression and anxiety, and most recently nortriptyline. At the moment i have only gotten strange side effects from the ssri's like prozac/celexa/zoloft.nortriptyline seemed to make me feel better when i started but couldnt deal with the extreme dry mouth.
Basically when i start on a ssri i notice after a month i start yawning a lot along with i guess a tightness in my chest. Also when i yawn i get this 'euphoric' feeling in my chest but it's not what you would expect i guess.Kinda like adrenaline and anxiety feeling rush through my body to my head. All of the ssri i have tried so far make me feel like that.Been on them anywhere from a few months to 6 months.
I spoke with a psychologist about what was going on but it's tough for me to put into words what that feeling is.He mentioned something about it being bipolar but i dont have manic mood swings.I just feel depressed and full of anxiety all the time.I tried my best to describe it here in hopes someone knows what might be going on when i take ssri's.
Is it possible im just really sensitive to ssri's?Would a different type of med help possibly? To tell the truth nortriptyline for the first few days i felt better.Much better than how i felt on the ssri's.Ofcourse i never got to where the depression or anxiety/brain fog lifted even after being on it for awhile.
I really dont know what to do anymore, and hope someone can give me some advice.Im tired of dealing with this.thanks
