You poor thing. Just what you needed -- a black eye.

Have you told him about the flash-backs and how THOSE make you feel? If not, you had better. Tell him the whole story. Tell him about the abuse, and how you feel NOW about it. Tell him that the 'punch in the eye" made you go back to that point in time, and it wasn't pretty. Tell him that flash-backs are scary, and that if he has never had one, he just won't understand.

Then just reiterate that you're not mad, you're not upset with him -- you just had a hard time with the flash-back. Ask him to just be patient, and you'll get over it.

In the meantime, put some ice on that poor eye. lol And wear sunglasses. You don't want people thinking that HE did it. Jeez, people never believe the REAL story of a black eye. LOL God bless and take care. Hugs, Lee
