You need to just step back a little, maybe. You cannot control the world. You can only control YOUR world. (And sometimes, not even that.)
Is there any way you can summon up the courage to speak to someone in corporate, and point out the "waste"? Can it be donated to a shelter? I lived at a shelter once, and Target often donated items they would have otherwise thrown away. They get a tax break for doing this, so it would be worth it.
