I tried working nights and it just didn't work out for me ... I didn't sleep well in the day and was exhausted most of the time. And like you, it wrecked my social life. I ended feeling anxious, fuzzy-headed, tired ... just plain lousy. I finally found another job with day hours and felt better right away.
Maybe this isn't the situation for you. If not, then start looking for something else. One your life gets better, there is a good chance the alcohol issue will too.
It is good you are reaching out and asking for help. That is how solutions are found and life gets better.
