No matter what - bottom line is that law enforcement is getting involved in a medical issue...
The right there is ALL I need to know to say it is absolutely WRONG no matter how you slice it....
Keep law enforcement issues with law enforcement professionals - and medical/mental health issues to be dealt with by those professionals..
At NO time should the two EVER be mixed, or even share information with each other without the written consent of the person you are talking about - period - no exceptions.
In fact, I will push it farther and say even if you are in jail - still ONLY treating doctors know any medical/mental health info, and that person still picks what one - and it could even be all the same ones they were dealing with before that came up, and oblige them to allow private meetings in a private office - just like if they were not in jail.. Reason, any deviation regardless of how you justify it, removes some medical privacy - and I can not even condone that regardless of anything.
