Hi, Manymiles, and welcome to PC's Bipolar forum!

We're a pretty supportive bunch and I think you'll find us helpful to you in adjusting to this game-changing life event. Being diagnosed with bipolar disorder---not to mention learning to
live with it!---is one of the most challenging situations you'll ever encounter, and you'll need time to process it.
Don't be surprised if you find yourself obsessing over your illness or talking too much about it; even if you've suspected it for years, hearing the words pronounced by a medical professional and/or seeing them on a piece of paper with your name on it is a whole new reality. Give yourself enough time to dust yourself off and get back in the metaphorical saddle before trying to proceed to the next step in accepting your diagnosis, but try to avoid over-thinking if you possibly can because it will tie you in knots if you do.
Hope you enjoy your time here. Take care!
