If your boyfriends was dealing with some personal issues, think about how important it would be for you to be able to be there for him!!!!
You may want to talk to him and tell him how you like to deal with your issues and how much it means to you that he can understand your need to be alone. Giving you the space to deal with personal issues is another way of loving you, specially if he's keeping you close in his heart, just like you keep him.
