If you did cut again, then how would you feel about it afterwards? That might be enough to stop you from doing it, depending on what your feelings are about that.
As far as why you are feeling this way now, there are lots of possibilities. I find that I identify with being a self-injurer, and giving it up would be giving up part of my identity, so after not cutting for a couple of months I start thinking about it more and more because I see it as part of who I am. Maybe it seems like it makes you unique, or you want to belong to a group (other self-injurers). Or you could be thinking about it just because it has been something that was a part of your life, and being reminded of it just brings back some of those memories.
