My husband is on Risperdal. At a low dose it didn't do anything. The doctor gradually increased it until it took away his will to do anything. I mean that literally, he spent his days sitting and staring. They backed off the dose a bit and he does seem better. Not normal, but not so paranoid. He's not on any other meds so I can't comment on that, but there are some side effects. He has almost no interest in sex and if he misses a dose he stays awake for a couple of days straight.
