Hello everyone. I am new in here. I guess you could say that I wanted to be able to find a forum that was full of caring people. People who can relate and understand. I am 28 years old. I haven't been given any real direction(or support) in my life. I couldn't afford college, and I couldn't hear most of what was going on in High School to get a scholarship. Felt left out socially. I managed however, by keeping a job with a well known grocery store chain. I am sure there is a way that I can find financial aid (I do not know sign language). In the meantime, I have a doctor's visit pending...to see what is wrong with my lower back. I had an accident at work a couple years ago. If I am put on disability, I will use this free time to see what options are out there for me. Those are my basic complaints...and most having to do with past abuse and hearing impairment.
I have a boyfriend that I am living with. He is 34. He is seeking diagnosis and counseling for what could be ADD. As much as he drives me nuts, I love him and plan on supporting him as much as he will let me. If he continues on with his counseling, I will offer to go to a couples counseling. Does anyone else have a partner who has been diagnosed with ADD?
