I don't have those DXes, but I do have something that can effect memory, especially short term - it's called Menieres syndrome. Guess what - that sword is double edged - Menieres is known to cause short term memory loss (not technically a symptom, but talk to anyone that has it....), HOWEVER so do the drugs used to control it (some are also used for what you mentioned) - I actually remember details of days 25-30 years ago, better than what happened yesterday, or even just a few hours ago.
I misplaced my glasses about two weeks ago, still no idea, other than they are in the house somewhere - I posted a message here early in the morning, used them (prescription for reading), whent back to sleep for a few hours, and never saw them again....All I can say is thank God for a magnifier program.
