I just recently taken a hamster home with me, I named her butterbean. Actually I thought that butterbean was a boy ,and her name before butterbean was Borat because I got her Saturday night and I went to go see the movie.
Anyways I wanted to tell you how I got her.
Went over to a friends place, he asks me if i'm interested in a free hamster. He showed me this cute orange and white one.
He also then told me that she survived an 18 hour stay in a freezer which is unheard of. Plus she survived becoming snake food because his male snake would not eat her at the time because the male snake was loosing his skin, lucky for butterbean.
I was in shock I couldn't believe that she lived being in a freezer for that long, when she should have died within 5 hours, aparently someone told him that was the "humane' way to put an animal to sleep and die. I think there are other ways... but anyways I took her in.
She's my little survivor, and now is the mascot of healing wounds, my survivors message board.
She is doing well so far, I don't know if she has an permenant damage, but she is frisky at night and sleeps during the day.
Here is a picture of my sweetie chickpea.
