I think women's anatomy is more interesting than men's (just like the woman herself :-) and a woman can appreciate another woman whereas men are not into appreciating another man's looks particularly so there are more people interested in seeing a woman than seeing a man. Women, to me, have more "movement", grace, are more interesting; men are like "blocks" to me, statues :-) There's less emotional expression usually with a man, they seem more straightforward, goal directed instead of story tellers with a bit of mystery.

I think the media is us and what the majority look at and "buy" because of, is always going to be represented. I have a Go Daddy account but I did not buy it because of their, to me, ridiculous ads. Women, babies and animals, sell products. If you do not like the pictures, if they depress you, I would not look at them. I don't get magazines and generally ignore advertising or enjoy its cleverness or make fun of its claims but am "over" buying something because of what the pictures show (people surrounded by gorgeous friends drinking beer or otherwise having fun).
