As Leed and I wrote in another thread, perhaps the husbands behaviour is pointing towards him having an affair. I do hope not, but it could explain some of his ways with you.

If it's not an affair, perhaps he needs to understand that saying he loves you isnt enough - actions speak louder than words. If he will not talk to you tho, I have no idea how this can be improved, sorry. Why do you say he wouldn't be honest in counselling?
