Guys have the same problem; the media is full of similarly perfect guys, which also has a ripple effect. Women are not the only ones who get their self-esteem bashed in by the media.

You could instead see it as a celebration of the female body, and also, men often go around with their tops off; it's completely normal, especially on TV. I remember Sunset Beach... God-awful programme with God-awful acting, and yet it was so addictive, back when I was a kid. xD But yeh, I'm surprised the guys are all properly dressed; from what I recall, there's a dude with his shirt off, pretty much any chance he gets. For whatever reason(s) you have, you're focusing on one thing, much in the way that it's easier to recall bad memories, as apposed to happy ones.
