We all respond differently to meds, even kids. The research hasn't ben totally conclusive about the SSRIs. Please speak again with the pdoc who gave the med about your fears. I have a child who has been on zoloft or prozc for most of the last 10 years for OCD. She does not seem worse for it and it helps her OCD. Good luck.
