best thing to do is chart your moods over a period of time, either on paper or on a phone app. I can see through mood charting that my moods have evened out. if you write little notes to yourself about what happened that day, you might be able to identify depression/mania triggers.
i believe that my episodes are untriggered, but that i was perhaps triggered into more severe cycling by moving back to my mom's house. I will know if this is the case when we can move out in the fall.
try the mood chart, you may find you do not have triggers for bipolar but you may also be able to identify more triggers for BPD.
