I think the #1 thing trolls get off on is attention. So if you block his number and stop responding hopefully it fizzles out. But, if the texts are violent, maybe you should tell the police. Usually they don't do much about stalking, but if he's threatening you at all via text, you have proof.
Yup - I had to block a few numbers. My carrier is AT&T and I had to set it up through parental controls (even for myself) at a fee. But it works.

Also be careful, if you have your phone listed on FB or other sites. I try to limit my info because I attract the strangest people. Always have. High privacy settings.
