not strange at all. When I have a tv in my bedroom it is one that has a headphone jack in it so that I can sleep to the tv without keeping the whole appartment building up at the same time. The same thing with my boomboxes and sterios.

I go through headphones like mad - about 4-5 a month but it is worth it.
