I take my hat off to Dr Frances for speaking out There is much truth in what he says, saving normal is important, or else they'll get away with dx'ing all undisciplined children and gay people as ill too (I read something along those line that the gay issue was actually discussed for DSM V)...

I firmly believe in saving normal! I think he did a good job, he raised his concerns without sounding like he's denouncing his profession or invalidating patients who genuinly do suffer.
