Hi ~ I know know if there are any stats on that or not, but abuse is abuse. If someone is going to abuse their spouse, they're probably going to abuse ANYONE. It's obviously a power thing, and while they already HAVE power over a child, they want to make sure they KEEP power over the child -- so by abusing that child, they get it drummed into that poor child's head that THEY are the boss and that's the way it's going to be!

My ex was like that anyway, and he was very cruel to our children. He expected ONLY the very best from them and when they couldn't deliver, he went after them.
