Some of you remember that I was worried about a friend that I hadn't heard from in several weeks... we met at a support group and he hadn't been doing well so I was worried. All I have is his email and phone number so if he isolates himself I really can't get ahold of him.

I finally heard from him a few weeks ago which was comforting but he still didn't sound too good.

I hadn't heard anything at all afterward. He hasn't been showing up at the group at all... Not answering the phone at all, not returning calls, not reading his email.

Today I finally got him on the phone. I was so glad to reach him. He doesn't sound good at all though, it sounds like he is giving up. I offered to go see him but he didn't want visitors. If I knew where he lived I would have just gone there anyway.

I just really care about him. He helped me a lot. He said he would try to come to the meeting Friday and I hope he does but I am skeptical. I wish he would just let me see him or meet him somewhere for lunch or something.
