Tums works for - MY - acid problems and changing - MY - diet to a low acid producing diet such as cutting down on the spegetti sauces, tomatoes and other high acid producing things.

I have never heard of inhalers making more problems where acid reflux is concerned since it is not swollowed into the stomach where stomack acid is produced.

- MY - 13 year old has been on inhalers since he was 4 months old, he has never had any acid reflux problems. he did at one point get blisters in his mouth and throat.

the solution was that he was not using the inhaler correctly as in breathing in fast so the inhaler mist was settling in his mouth and throat instead of getting completely into his lungs. - MY - family physician gave us an attachment tube to go on the inhaler that way the albuterol, pulmicort and so on did not settle in his throat. Cleared up the throat and mouth blisters.
