wow simon, i'm so so sorry about what you are going through.. i wish i was there to be there for you, you really need that, we all do.
but you are a wonderful helpful person..
its just unfortunate that you aren't around people who can see that, so you can be who you really are and to your full potential..
Your father is very lucky to have such a great son that cares about him. Most would run away from this problems, but you face them and deal with them. You are so brave.
