When I got sober, one of the first things I learned was that I had to CHANGE: PEOPLE, places and things. I couldn't hang around the same people, cause they'd get me drunk again. I couldn't hang around IN the same places cause I'd get drunk again. And I had to change many things - such as my route to and from work, so I wouldn't pass the liquor store.

If I wanted to STAY sober, I had to want it more than ANYTHING ELSE --- otherwise I was going to get drunk again.

You can pick yourself up again, and start over. You're not the only one who has ever had a lapse. Don't beat yourself up. PLEASE, get back to meetings-- I hope you've been going to some. Maybe you haven't gone to AA, but you NEED SUPPORT!! Trying to do this alone isn't going to work.

I wish you the very best. Don't give up because alcohol KILLS. God bless and I hope we hear from you again. Big hugs, Lee
