Please note -

This is MY experiences with having DID, MY therapy program that I am on for DID and My research for DID.

If your experience is different just take from my blog what you can use and pass on the rest.

As for losing time yea that happens to - ME - but it doesn't upset - ME - when it happens because it has always been happening to - ME - since - I - was a child.

For -ME - losing time of doing one thing and then snap - I'M - doing something different didn't suddenly start happening after - I - was diagnosed.

Losing time was in part why - I - was referred to getting tested and diagnosed as being DID - A therapist recognized that she would have to repeat conversations and - I - had no memory of things her and - I - did and or talked about together.

For - ME - MY losing time is trigger related. If - I - get upset, uncomfortable, panicy and so on - I - lose time.

I control - MY - switching by paying attention to how - I - am feeling and when - I - start feeling uncomfortable, upset, panicy and so on - I - stop what - I - am doing and locate the trigger (the reason why - I - am feeling uncomfortable, upset, panicy and so on) and - I - take care of that by using grounding and relaxation techniques and when ever possible physically walking away from that trigger. That in turn controls - MY - dissociating and switching.

By the way in case capitalization is a problem with you please not that my using capitalization is not for yelling purposes. - I - do so simply to make sure - MY - I - statements are clear because when - I - don't sometimes people skimming and reading my posts and threads don't always see - MY - I statements.
