I'm not sure what you mean by labels?

Here are some things:
-The media doesn't know anything about bipolar disorder and often portrays us in a very bad light.

-Everyone's experience is different and how they react to their symptoms is different. In fact, not everyone has all the same symptoms, either. So, without knowing specifics of your situation it's impossible to answer your question.

-If your ex was abusive to you (verbal, emotional, physiscal,) that's not bipolar disorder. Abusive is something entirely different and even "normal" people can be abusive. In fact, people with mental illness are more likely to be the ones abused rather than the abuser.

So, I think you could find answers to your questions here but you should start over and add specifics, and remember that your ex is not a disorder.
